Designing with flowers, building community, and learning to slow down β one season at a time.
The long way here
Iβm Laurence Rich, a floral designer, entrepreneur, and girl mom with nearly ten years of experience in the floral and events world.
My journey hasnβt followed a straight line β and Iβve come to love it that way. Iβve designed everything from intimate celebrations to large-scale weddings, opened and operated a full-service flower shop, hosted dozens of floral workshops, and worked closely with fellow creative entrepreneurs navigating growth, motherhood, and business ownership all at once.
At my core, Iβm a builder. Of spaces, of experiences, of community. Iβm design-driven but detail-obsessed, practical yet romantic, and endlessly inspired by the way flowers can transform not just a room β but a moment.
How I work
My design process begins with listening β to my clients, to the season, and to the flowers themselves.
I approach each project with intention, allowing space for creativity while staying grounded in thoughtful planning and mechanics. Iβm drawn to garden-inspired, eclectic designs that feel layered, natural, and lived-in β never overly styled, never disconnected from their environment.
Rather than chasing trends, I focus on creating work that feels timeless, personal, and true to the moment it exists in. Whether Iβm designing florals for an event or building educational resources for fellow creatives, my goal is always the same: to create something that feels aligned, considered, and deeply human.
Why flowers, always
Flowers have always felt like home to me.
I love that they force us to pay attention β to the weather, to the land, to time. I love that no two seasons look the same, and no arrangement can ever truly be repeated. Working with flowers keeps me grounded, curious, and creatively honest.
Seasonality and locally-grown blooms are at the heart of my work. They remind us that beauty isnβt meant to be rushed or forced, and that restraint can be just as powerful as abundance. Whether Iβm designing for a wedding, teaching a workshop, or mentoring another florist, Iβm always guided by the same belief: when we work with nature instead of against it, everything feels more meaningful.
